Elsa's First Sledding Excursion

After our first big snow Elsa was finally taken out to sled in the backyard. Both girls loved being out in the snow. Elsa is a bit more dainty about it than Inga. After Inga's first fall into the snow she got up and laughed. Elsa, however, simply enjoyed looking at it and riding in the sled. She didn't like the cold of it as much.

Happy after a run down the hill.

Sledding with Emma.

At the top of the hill.

Being pulled through the yard.

Inga following Elsa on the sled to make sure she was taken care of...what a great big sister!

The Girls

It's been a while since our last post so I decided to post a selection of pictures from the last month or so of the fun we've had around the house. The girls are growing so fast and we have a lot of fun watching them grow and play. They make us so very happy!

Elsa's shades.

Elsa's self-chosen attire.

Inga decided nap time was going to be on the floor one afternoon.

Inga did her own hair and told me she was ready to go!

Watching TV with hats on! The beret that Elsa is wearing was made by my Grandma Lane way back when. Seeing Elsa wearing it makes me miss her! More than anything I wish the girls would have been able to know their great-grandparents.

Posing for the camera...

Inga's turn!

Time for dessert!

Family Photos

Jason and I realized that we hadn't had a family photo taken since Elsa was born so we decided that now would be a great time! Unfortunately Elsa didn't agree with the rest of the family. Inga was very happy to be at the studio but Elsa was a little suspicious. We didn't get her to smile in any of the pictures but we were still happy to take her home with us.

Play Time

The girls have loved playing together in the ball pit. Unfortunately somewhere along the way we developed a hole in the indoor swimming pool turned ball pit. I guess we'll have to wait until next summer to reincarnate the pool! By the way, Inga likes to choose her own outfits these days so don't be surprised by what you see!

Inga in her self-selected outfit. Yes, she is wearing mittens along with her sun bonnet.

A very happy Elsa.

And a little smirk.

The outfit in full view.

Happy Halloween!

Trick-or-Treating was a success this year. Elsa was so excited to go up to each house! She walked most of the route we took. Inga on the other hand preferred to ride in the stroller. They both were ready to go home before Jason and I expected which worked out well for us. That means less candy we have keep away from them!

Inga all bundled up in the stroller. She was dressed as a princess riding a unicorn.

A Beautiful Autumn Day

We had a beautiful autumn day so we took advantage of it by dressing up the girls and snapping some pictures. Inga and Elsa loved being outside and playing with the leaves. Emma even did a few laps around them!

Enjoying the swing.

Looking for raspberries.

Sitting in the sun.

A brief kiss.

Who needs shoes outside?

A quick smile from Inga.

Look at all the leaves!

One more push in the swing.

Happy Birthday, Inga!

Can you believe that Inga is already three? She is growing so fast! We celebrated her birthday with a Tinkerbell theme. She had so much fun and has already asked for another birthday party. Next year, sweetheart!

The Tinkerbell cake.

Another view of the cake.

Inga while being sung to. Her face got so red...it's the first time I've ever seen her embarrassed!

Trying to blow out those darn candles!

Sneaking some frosting off the cake!

Pumpkin Carving

We carved our pumpkins we bought at the pumpkin patch. Inga chose the designs we carved. The girls loved playing with the pumpkin seeds while Jason and I did all the work.

Getting ready to clean out the pumpkins.

The final result. Mine is on the left, Jason's is on the right.

In the dark. Sorry about how blurry they are!

Fun in a Ball Pit

We have a "new" toy in the house. We filled our swimming pool with balls and put it in the porch. The girls have loved having it!

1 Giant Pile of Leaves+1 Daddy=2 Happy Little Girls

Jason and the girls went outside today to rake the leaves in the yard. Jason ended up doing most of the raking while the girls played in the huge pile of leaves. The girls had such a fun time getting buried in the leaves! It was perfect fall weather today.

Elsa throwing the leaves around...

And screaming!

Inga up to her neck in leaves.

Emma wants in on the fun!

Inga is in there somewhere!

Our three girls...Inga, Elsa, and Emma

Still studying.

A happy Inga.
