Elsa's 2nd Birthday

Elsa is two years old! And she has the temper to prove it as we all learned at her birthday party. For the most part it was the perfect day for a party in the park. Elsa just had a slight meltdown when we all sang to her. Then she was upset that we broke her cake when we cut it up to serve it. She chose not to eat any of her cake...again...but had some the next morning for breakfast. I think this is her birthday pattern!

Inga contemplating how to sneak some cake when no one was watching.

I blew out the candles while Elsa screamed because we sang to her. You can tell what Elsa's screaming sounded like by looking at Gracie's reaction!

Josie's going to help this time!

Mother's Day 2010

For Mother's Day this year we took the girls to Bever Park to visit Old MacDonald's farm. We had a great time watching all the animals. Lots of pictures were taken but this is by far my favorite of the day. They looked so sweet watching the ducks together!

Dance Class and Breakfast Smiles

Inga's dance class...she's at the far end.

There she is!

The girls helped me make chocolate chip muffins for breakfast.

Big smile!

That was yummy!

Ramsay's 2nd Birthday Party

Elsa and I joined the Geaters in celebrating Ramsay's birthday. Her party was at Chuck E. Cheese and Elsa discovered her new love! We can't drive by the place anymore without Elsa crying because we won't stop. She had a great time eating pizza and cake, playing games and earning tickets, and watching Chuck E. Cheese sing.

Easter

It's time for hunting Easter Eggs! Easter brought lots of fun and searching this year. The girls had a great time hunting for the eggs that the Easter Bunny left in our basement and then later for the ones left in Nana and Papa's backyard.

Elsa found one!

I see it!

The race is on!

There's a big bug in the bird bath!

Independent Ladies

The girls are growing up fast! And with that comes more and more independence. Both Inga and Elsa are making their own decisions about what to wear and, yes, how to behave! They certainly keep our lives interesting!

Inga discovered that her toes can go into her mouth.

Inga dressed herself for preschool one morning. If you look closely, you'll see that she is wearing tights and socks!

Stickers always go on your forehead, right?

Elsa applied the make-up and headband herself.

Let's Go Fly a Kite!

We finally bought our first kite. Elsa found one with Plex on it. If you aren't up to date on all your kids show characters, Plex is the yellow robot on the girls' favorite show "Yo Gabba Gabba!" Inga and Elsa both took turns keeping the kite up in the air. Surprisingly they did a great job! Now we just need another windy day that's warm enough to be outside so we can do it again!
