Pumpkin Carving

We carved our pumpkins we bought at the pumpkin patch. Inga chose the designs we carved. The girls loved playing with the pumpkin seeds while Jason and I did all the work.

Fun in a Ball Pit

We have a "new" toy in the house. We filled our swimming pool with balls and put it in the porch. The girls have loved having it!

1 Giant Pile of Leaves+1 Daddy=2 Happy Little Girls

Jason and the girls went outside today to rake the leaves in the yard. Jason ended up doing most of the raking while the girls played in the huge pile of leaves. The girls had such a fun time getting buried in the leaves! It was perfect fall weather today.

And screaming!

Still studying.

A happy Inga.

Pumpkin Patch 2009

We took a trip to the Pumpkin Patch today with Grandma and Grandpa Humpal. It was FREEZING cold but the girls had a ton of fun. They got to see the farm animals, feed some of them, walk through the corn maze, play in the corn bin, and choose a pumpkin for a Jack-o-lantern. Once we carve them, we will be sure to post those pictures as well!

Time to go!

Iowa vs. Michigan

The Ironsides came over for the Iowa/Michigan game and the girls loved playing with Brogan. Here are a few pictures from the evening.

Brogan and Inga

This time Brogan looked at the camera.

It's Fun to Read!

The girls were playing quietly so I went to check on them. As you know, quiet doesn't always mean good! This time, though, I was pleased with what I found. The girls were sitting together on Elsa's toy box, each with a book in hand. I grabbed the camera and got one good picture of them sitting together...then Elsa discovered I was taking pictures and had to give me some huge smiles!

CHEESE!

Two big smiles!

Isn't this great?!

One more CHEESE from Elsa!

Jacie's Birthday Party

Jacie, our daycare provider's daughter, celebrated her 4th birthday by renting a bounce house. Inga LOVED it but Elsa wasn't as sure. The girls had such a fun time, though. And Jacie got the best present last...a t-shirt saying that she and her older sister Lexie are going to be big sisters!

All the kids waiting for Jacie to open her gifts.

Elsa didn't jump, the jumping kids just bounced her around.

Fuzzy Caterpillar

We went to Brogan's first birthday party at Bever Park. While we were there, we found a fuzzy white caterpillar. The girls were so excited to see it crawling around. Elsa tried to pet it and ended up sqaushing it. The poor thing has gone to caterpillar heaven, but the girls loved you little guy!

It was hiding in the crack.

Trying to revive him.

Sorry girls, he's gone.

Story Time with Great Uncle Danny

Uncle Danny and his church came up to Cedar Rapids to help with flood recovery. They stayed at our church and one night we provided a meal for the group. We being the church...I don't have enough time to do that all alone! Danny has started a tradition with the girls where he brings a book to add to the girls' collections and he reads it to them. He didn't disappoint even on this trip! The girls and Danny settled down on a couch in the church basement for some story time. Elsa took advantage of all the cameras flashing in her direction. She loves being in front of the camera.
