Elsa Talking

Elsa does this all the time.  It is the most precious sound...in my mind!

Inga's Cool Trick

We have started watching "Yo Gabba Gabba!" on Noggin.  It's a weird show but Inga loves watching "Bagga".  They have a segment where kids do their "Cool Tricks".  Inga learned this from the show.

Chocolate Covered Strawberries

My co-workers at Franklin surprised me with a bouquet of chocolate covered strawberries on my last day to wish me luck at my new job.  Inga has been helping me eat them and absolutely loves them!  I couldn't have asked for a better group of teachers to work with.  I will miss them all so much after having the opportunity to be a Thunder Boomer!

A Night With the Haags

We went over to Amy and Jason's last weekend to catch up and let the girls play together.  I'm pretty sure the last time we all got together was our annual New Year's gathering!  Inga and Addison had a great time playing together.  Elsa really enjoyed watching them play.  Hopefully we won't have to wait another 9 months before getting together again!

Elsa took a moment to give Momma a little smile.

Addison and Inga riding the vehicles and holding puppies.

Inga pushing Addison around the house.

Inga making her funny face.

Sharing the Highchair

We put both the girls in the highchair at the same time for a photo op. It started out fine but then Elsa got sick of sitting there. We finally took a video of Inga trying to get Elsa to quiet down. We think it's pretty entertaining. Hopefully you do as well!

Look-Alikes

I love dressing the girls up in the same outfit.  Here are some pictures from the other morning.  Even though it looks like Inga has Elsa in a choke-hold, she really was holding her very gently.  Every day she gets more and more excited about being around Elsa and loving her.  It is so fun to watch the two of them together!

This wasn't really in any category so I thought I would just add it to this post.  I was able to get Inga's hair into real pigtails...or "tails" as she calls them.  Her eyes are closed but she pulled her hair out after this picture so it's the only one I got.

Squash

Elsa had her first taste of food this week.  We have started with squash and she loved it!  Once she figured out what was going on she was opening her mouth and going after the spoon.  Next up...peas!

Thomas the Tank Engine

Inga has a new love...Thomas the Tank Engine.  You'll see how excited she gets when she hears the music!

Labor Day

On Labor Day we decided to go feed the ducks at Noelridge, play at the park, have a picnic, and get ice cream. Inga loved feeding the ducks and geese. She even got some of the geese to eat from her hand. She didn't realize, though, that they will nibble at your fingers if there isn't anything there to eat so she got "bit" a couple of times. She would cry but didn't really get hurt...she was scared more than anything. It was a nice day out with both the girls. After all that excitement we headed to Veteran's Memorial Stadium to see the petting zoo and train. We were very disappointed in both. All the animals were in cages so you couldn't really pet them unless you stuck your hand through the small openings of the cages. The train wasn't really a train...it was a garden tractor with a faux train shell. It was still great to get out as a family.

Inga being daring enough to go down the big slide by herself! She kept saying, "Hot, hot, hot," so the plastic must have been a little warm on her legs!

Here she is playing music for us.

She s-l-o-w-l-y made it down this slide!
